Useful plant parts of Turmeric: Rhizome
Turmeric-Curcuma longa is a perennial herb, grow to average height of 75 cm tall. The leaves are arranged alternately, in two rows, about 35 cm wide, oblong to elliptic, tapered at both ends. Rhizomes are orange, cylindrical and aromatic. The flowers are multicoloured with pink, light green and white at the terminals.
