Malayalam: Jeerakam ജീരകം
Cumin (Cuminum cyminum Linn) is biennial, slender branched stems, it grows to 30 - 50 cm tall, which is slender, glabrous, branched. The stem is grey or dark green in color. The leaves are 5 to 10 cm long, pinnate or bi-pinnate, and contain thin, thread-shaped leaflets. Flowers are small, white or pink in color, and found in umbels. The root are fleshy.
