White Madar

Scientific name of White Madar: Calotropis gigantea (Linn.)

Name of White Madar in different languages:-

English: White crown flower

Sanskrit: Svetarka

Hindi: Aka, Gauri akavana, Mandara

Malayalam: Vella Erukku- വെള്ള എരിക്ക്

Plant description:

White Madar plant is a large shrub growing up to 3 m tall. The leaves are pale greenish white, rough, oblong, somewhat ovate; flowers are white, waxy found in clusters with a crown shape, consists of five pointed petals and a small, rising from the centre. The plant has a milky stem.
