White cutch tree

Scientific name of White cutch tree: Acacia polyantha

Name of White cutch tree in different languages:-

English: white catech, White Thorn

Sanskrit: kadara, somavalkah

Malayalam: Vellakarigali വെള്ളക്കരിങ്ങാലി

Plant description:

It is tree grows up to 20 m tall, branched, medium tree, leaves are pinnately arranged, bark covered with spines, seeds are in a bean contained 2- 4 bean. heartwood is the useful part.

Medicinal uses:

Venereal Diseases, Snakebites, Gonorrhea, Dysentery and Gastrointestinal Problems. Its chemical compounds can repel reptiles, rats etc.
