Plant description of Soursop -
Soursop-Annona muricata is a small, erect, evergreen tree, grow up to about 4 m tall.The leaves are oblong, glossy dark green, up to 16 cm long and 7 cm wide. Flower stalks are 2 mm to 5 mm long and woody, appear near the leaf stalk, commonly two flowers, petals are thick and yellowish in colour, tapering to a point with a heart shaped base. Fruits are dark green, prickly ovate and can grow up to 30 cm long, ripe fruit flesh is juicy, whitish and aromatic which contain shiny black seeds.
Medicinal uses: to treat BP, to treat and prevent cancer.
Chemical content: Asrogenins (to treat cancer)
How to prepare medicines: leaves of throne apple and Lakshmnitharu (celestial tree) make decoction is used to treat cancer.
