Plant description:
Shiny bush is an annual herb, commonly found in rainy seasons at the wet areas, wall tops, decayed woods, roadside and wasteland. Stems are erect, fleshy, translucent, and pale green, grow to the height up to 45 cm long, with one or more branches, the leaves are watery, pale green, transparent, heart-shaped, up to 4 cm long and 3 cm wide.

Used in the treatments of coughing, common cold, headache, sore throat, fever, diarrhea, kidney - prostate problems, Abdominal pains, Gout, Arthritis and high BP.

Peperomins, flavonoids - acacetin, apigenin, isovitexin, and pellucidatin, phytosterols - campesterol and stigmasterol.
