Scientific name of Purging nut: Jatropha curcas Linn

Sanskrit: अनुकूला anukula,  दीर्घ dirgha, एरण्डपत्रिका erandhapatrika, एरण्डफला erandhaphala, मकूलकः makulakah, नागदन्ती nagadanti, नागविन्ना nagavinna, निकुम्भः nikumbha, प्रत्यक्श्रेणी pratyaksreni, रूक्षा ruksha, शीघ्रा shigra, विशल्य vishalya, उडुम्बरपर्णी udumbaraparni.

Hindi: दन्ती danti, Pahari, Erand

Malayalam: Kadalavanakku, Appa, Kammatti കടലാവണക്ക്, അപ്പ, കമ്മട്ടി

Plant description:

Bio-diesel plant  is a perennial shrub or small tree grow up to 2-3 m height, leaves are green, arranged around the stem as trifoliate arrangement, stem are grey in color, flexible, it contain a resin which is toxic, flowers are pale yellow, Fruits are green, it became yellow when it is ripe, and it contain two seeds which is used to take oil (Bio-diesel).
