Oleander Tree

Scientific name of Oleander: Nerium Odorum, Nerium oleander

Name of Oleander in different languages:-

Sanscrit: Karaveera, Aswamaraka

Hindi: Kaner

Malayalam: Arali-അരളി, രക്തകരവി

Plant description:

Oleander Tree is a fast growing shrub, grows up to 2–6 m tall with erect stems, mature stems have ash colored bark. The leaves are in pairs, thick and leathery, dark-green, with the size of 5–21 cm long and 1–3.5 cm broad. The flowers grow in clusters at the end of branches, with different colors such as white, pink or red. The fruit capsule length 5–23 cm long. Oleander is a toxic plant.
