Plant description:

It is a spreading annual herb grows as a weed, spreading fast, grow to the height of 20 cm. found in the roadsides abandoned areas etc.Leaves are simple, arranged oppositely, serrate or dentate margin, acute, pubescent and fleshy. Flowers are white to pale yellow, long-stalked, center part yellow. Seeds are many, small, with silky hairs.

Useful plant parts: Whole plant

Medicinal uses: To treat vitiated pitta, inflammation, wound, hemorrhoids, anal fistula, and ulcers.


Chemical contents: flavonoids, many of alkaloids, hydroxycinnamates, tannins, phytosterols, benzoic acid, lignans, carotenoids
