it is a tall tree, smaller tree than common Horse chestnut, the average height of this tree is 22 m, it is a deciduous tree with a good vegetation, commonly found in Himalaya regions of India. The leaves are large, opposite, digitate, glossy, laceolate ( Boat shaped),margin entire and venation pinnate, it forms a umbel shaped at the branch apex, the flowers are found in a long stack about 40 cm long and bearing about 300 flowers, occur in between May and June, the fruits are spiny, seeds are brown and hard.
