Garden Balsam

Scientific name of Garden Balsam: Impatiens balsamina Linn

Plant description:

Garden Balsam is an annual herb, growing to 20 to 80 cm tall, with a thick, watery soft stem. Leaves are spirally arranged and with toothed margin, sized 2.5 to 10 cm long and 1 to 2.5 cm wide. The flowers are various in colors with white, pink, lilac, red, and sized 2 to 5 cm in diameter. The ripe seed pod, light green contain mustard like black seeds. When ripe fruits explode and dispersed seeds to germinate.
