Forest Aganosma

Scientific name of Forest Aganosma: Aganosma cymose

Name of Forest Aganosma in different languages:-

Malayalam: Anakayooram-ആനക്കയ്യൂരം

The whole plant is used as anthelmintic, used in the treatment of bronchitis. Flowers are useful in ophthalmic treatments.

Plant description:

Forest Aganosma is a climber growing up to 10 m, Leafs are 1 to 2 cm, -flowers are yellowish white, clusters at branch ends, which are carried on stalks up to 6 cm. Bracts and bracteoles are very narrowly elliptic, 0.9-1.1 cm. Flower stalks are about 5 mm, and flowering is May-August.

Medicinal uses:

To treat Cough, Eye diseases
