Plant description:

lame of the woods or Ixora red (Ixora coccinea) is a flowering shrub, grows up to 1 m. tall, evergreen, blooming throughout the year, many branched. Leaves are ovate-oblong tapered and the end, bright green, 10 cm long and 4 cm wide. Flowers are deep red, four petals, in clusters at the branch end.
