Ayurveda Basmas or Ksharas -Burned to ash or  finely powdered/talc 

Bhasma is a preparation by incineration of various minerals and metal is converted into ash. According to the modern study about the particle (Nano Technology) by the division of the particles can increase its power doubles. It had been described the concept of reduction in particle size of metals in the old text of Charak Samhita. Basmas are used in rejuvenation therapy and various type treatments. Bhasma has been utilized as a therapeutic agent in the traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine. It is used to treat disorders like Bronchial asthma, Diabetics, nervous diseases and Rheumatoid arthritis. It is usually given by orally mixed with either honey or ghee.
